Criminal Record Checks – Process Changes

HMRC Getting Tough on AML Procedures

Award Winning – Leading Provider of AML Checks
July 10, 2018

Basic disclosures have now been taken under the wing of the Disclosure and Barring Service meaning that organisations can no longer submit Basic Disclosure requests directly.

This brings this form of criminal record check in line with the Standard and Enhanced levels.

Applicants can still apply directly for a basic criminal record check and pay for it themselves. However, from an HR and security point of view this is less than ideal.

Here at Veriphy we can process the full range of checks on your behalf in a timely and efficient manner.

If you do need to undertake checks then remember that there are quite stringent restrictions on which type of check is allowed based on the position the applicant is being considered for.

DBS have this handy online tool to guide you to the right check.

Very clear & simple. Used it, without reading the manual of course, just to give it a try. Excellent service.

I have just used Veriphy for the first time. It is excellent – so much easier than chasing old passports and utility bills that are sent by email.
